When we approve your print galley in Ingram’s system, they instantly send a feed to their retail partners with your book’s information. That includes all of the descriptive material (metadata), and the cover.
Amazon always has a delay in putting up book covers. Your book’ info. description, price, etc. will appear before your cover. BarnesandNoble.com usually gets covers up the fastest. Amazon can take 2 days to 2 weeks to add a cover. BooksAMillion moves a bit slower. Indigo/Chapters can take weeks to add a book page at all. They all work on their own timelines and there’s nothing we or anyone can do to make them move faster. Believe me…we’ve tried.
